History

Interior Marketing was formed in the early 1990s to act as sales agents and distributors for modern furniture companies across Europe. The first collection represented was Castigliani from Pisa. They produced furniture and lighting made from various marbles, stone and slate. Much of the furniture was designed by Lella & Massimo Viguelli whose practice was based in NY and had a strong reputation in graphics and included American Airlines and the NY transportation department as clients.

It was the work with Castigliani that lead to Interior Marketing being recommended to Zanotta, one of the leading exponents of modern furniture design. It was a collaboration that would last 23 years. During the same period Interior Marketing took on the UK distribution for Oluce one of Italy’s oldest modern lighting companies. Within a few years, a collaboration would be formed with McInnes Cook to help with the Sales and Marketing of Flos in the UK. It was a strong period of growth for modern furniture and lighting in the UK. Whilst Zanotta and Flos were entirely separate companies they had a strong design synergy and both flourished in this period.

Today

Interior Marketing acts as UK sales agents for Matidesignlab a small Italian furniture brand. Our other activities are as sales/marketing consultants working with McInnes Cook Light and Pira Ltd.

McInnes Cook Light

In 2015 McInnes Cook was rebooted with its background in modern lighting and free from its commitments to Flos a move was made to represent smaller modern lighting brands in Europe and beyond. Today the MCL portfolio includes Pablo Designs, Parachilna and Nyta. Please visit our lighting page.
